Cassiopeia Boston wins the Advanced Bach Medal in the Piano Guild auditions

Cassiopeia Bostan, age 11, successfully performed a 15-pieces Bach program in a 45 minute audition. The difficulty of this program is college level. The pieces included 11 two-part inventions, 1 three- part invention and three movements of the Second English Suite, all by J.S. Bach.

Cassie received a Certificate, a large gold pin, a report card and a large plaque.
This year marks Cassie's 4th year in the Piano Guild auditions and 4th 15-piece program.

Cassie has been studying with Eva Martin Hollaus since 2009 with a short interruption when she moved to Florida. Cassie is home schooled and receives Piano lessons via Skype.

Mitchell Johnson places in the TVMTA Young Artist competition June 2, 2012

Mitchell Johnson was awarded third place in the TVMTA Young Artist competition in the 11 and 12th grade class. Mitchell performed the g minor prelude by S. Rachmaninoff.

Mitchell also teaches piano and also entered his student who received an Honorable Mention in the 7-8 grade division in this same event.

Mitchell is currently preparing the Piano Guild High School Diploma program, a 90 minutes audition which he will perform in August. Then, in college Mitchell is aiming for a double Major in piano and engineering.
